Droid Cities

game rules

Introduction
Droid Cities is a strategy game where players build and manage a futuristic city using droids. Players gather resources, construct buildings, deploy droids, trade in a marketplace, and collect cards for bonuses. The game runs in real-time with player-initiated actions and automatic hourly BC production.
Account Creation and Login
Players access the game at www.droidcities.com. New players register with an email address and password. The system assigns a unique random 5-digit code, forming the username Droid_XXXXX (e.g., Droid_12345). Players log in with email and password. New accounts start with:

Buildings:
• Level 1 Base
• Level 1 Factory
• Level 1 Refinery
• Level 1 Forge
• Level 1 Security Station

Resources:
• 1,000 BitCredits (BC)
• 100 Oil
• 100 Iron

Droids:
• One Level 1 Harvester
Resources
Three resources drive the game:

BC: Primary currency for purchases and trades; generated automatically by the base.
Oil: Fuel for droid actions; gathered by player-initiated harvester actions.
Iron: Material for construction; gathered by player-initiated miner actions.

Resources have no storage limits.
Buildings
All building construction and upgrades are managed in the Building Maintenance section. Players initiate construction or upgrades by spending resources and using builder droids. Builder droids are required for all construction and upgrade actions and are consumed (expended) when used. Actions start and complete instantly upon initiation.

Builder Requirements:
• Constructing a new building: 1 builder droid
• Upgrading Level 1→2: 2 builder droids
• Upgrading Level 2→3: 5 builder droids
• Upgrading Level 3→4: 10 builder droids
• Upgrading Level 4→5: 25 builder droids
Base
The central building provides droid bays and generates BC automatically. Players can only own one base. Base upgrades are managed in the Building Maintenance section.

Level 1: 10 droid bays, produces 1d5 BC per hour.
Level 2: 25 droid bays, produces 1d12 BC per hour.
Level 3: 50 droid bays, produces 1d25 BC per hour.
Level 4: 100 droid bays, produces 1d50 BC per hour.
Level 5: 250 droid bays, produces 1d100 BC per hour.

Upgrade costs:
Level 2: 1,000 BC, 500 Oil, 500 Iron, 2 builder droids.
Level 3: 2,000 BC, 1,000 Oil, 1,000 Iron, 5 builder droids.

Level 5: 8,000 BC, 4,000 Oil, 4,000 Iron, 25 builder droids.

Builder droids are consumed when used for upgrades.
Factory
The Factory handles droid construction and repairs. Players initiate actions; they start instantly when resources are available and a slot opens.

Level 1: Level 1 droid, 1 action per hour.
Level 2: Up to Level 2, 2 actions per hour.
Level 3: Up to Level 3, 3 actions per hour.
Level 4: Up to Level 4, 4 actions per hour.
Level 5: Up to Level 5, 5 actions per hour.

Repair costs 50 Oil and 50 Iron; restores 75 uses.
Other Buildings
Factory: Constructs and repairs droids. Upgrades handled in Building Maintenance.
Oil Refinery: Boosts harvester yields by 10% per level above Level 1. Level 1 provides no bonus. Level 2 = 10%, Level 3 = 20%, Level 4 = 30%, Level 5 = 40%. Upgrades handled in Building Maintenance.
Iron Forge: Boosts miner yields by 10% per level above Level 1. Level 1 provides no bonus. Level 2 = 10%, Level 3 = 20%, Level 4 = 30%, Level 5 = 40%. Upgrades handled in Building Maintenance.

All building construction and upgrades require builder droids and are managed in the Building Maintenance section. Builder droids are consumed when used.
Droids
Droids occupy one bay each in the base. Players initiate new droid construction in the factory; actions start instantly using resources. Each droid starts with 100 uses. Players initiate every action, which consumes 1 use and 1 Oil. Deactivated droids (0 uses) require player-initiated factory repair.

Costs and capacity by level:
Level 1: Holds 10 units, costs 200 BC, 100 Oil, 100 Iron.
Level 2: Holds 25 units, costs 400 BC, 200 Oil, 200 Iron.
Level 3: Holds 50 units, costs 800 BC, 400 Oil, 400 Iron.

Droid Types
Harvester: Players initiate gathering; Oil adds instantly.
Level 1: 1d5 Oil | Level 2: 1d12 Oil | Level 3: 1d25 Oil | Level 4: 1d50 Oil | Level 5: 1d100 Oil

Oil Refineries increase yields.

Each construction or upgrade requires a specific number of builder droids, which are permanently expended upon completion of the action. Build more builder droids at the Factory to maintain your construction capacity.

Security: Reserved for future use.
Gameplay Cycle
The game operates in real-time. Bases automatically produce BC every hour on the hour (UTC), rolling dice based on current level. Players must initiate all other actions:

• Gather Oil or Iron
• Build or upgrade buildings (in Building Maintenance)
• Build or repair droids
• Trade in the marketplace

Players log in anytime to perform actions and manage their city.
Marketplace
Players initiate buys and sells of Oil, Iron, droids, and cards. Listings last 7 days. Sellers set BC prices; a 5% fee applies on sales. Trades complete instantly upon player purchase. Market shows daily average prices.
Cards and Collections
Multiple card sets exist, each with 12 unique cards:
• 3 one-star (common)
• 3 two-star (uncommon)
• 3 three-star (rare)
• 2 four-star (epic)
• 1 five-star (legendary)

Players obtain cards through daily login rewards, card packs purchased with BC, or marketplace trades.

Pack costs:
4-pack: 200 BC
8-pack: 350 BC
12-pack: 500 BC

Completing a full set grants a choice of 250 BC, 500 Oil, or 500 Iron. Completed sets lock and display in a gallery.
Progression and Leaderboards
Players expand their city through resource management and droid efficiency. Leaderboards rank total city value (buildings, droids, resources, cards).
